Competition

At present the club has two adult teams and one junior team playing Saturday tennis in the Bayside Regional Tennis Association competition. Check the club contacts page to contact the co-ordinator of the various competitions held at the club.

Social

Midweek Tuesday and Thursday start at 8.30am. Sunday morning from 10.30am - 12:30pm

Night tennis

Competition play is now available for members and non members alike.

Monday nights is a mens competition - 10 week comp plus 2 weeks for the finals - starting at 7pm - intermediate standard. The cost of the comp is $120.00 for non-PMTC members and $100 for PMTC members. The club provides the use of the courts, the lights and tennis balls each week. At the end of the comp trophies are provided to the winners.

Tuesday nights is a mixed doubles competition – 10 week comp plus 1 week for the finals – starting at 7pm - social standard. The cost of the comp is $120.00 for non-PMTC members and $100 for PMTC members. The club provides the use of the courts, the lights and tennis balls each week. At the end of the comp trophies are provided to the winners.

Wednesday nights is a mens competition –10 week comp plus 2 weeks for the finals – starting at 7pm - socially-competitive standard. Coaching

Junior, Senior, Group Coaching is available from the "Paul Aitken School of Tennis" . There is a high level of participation from juniors with coaching four afternoons a week. If you require more information regarding coaching please call 0412 041 204.

Recreational Tennis

At all other times members can arrange their own games, gaining access to the courts with a key that is issued at a small fee of $20.

Social Functions

Social round robin days and Christmas BBQ occur each year. Club and Veteran Championship events also provide opportunities for social interaction.

Tokens

Tokens available for members to pay for lights per half hour. Tokens may be purchased from Beacon Cove Food Store at 103 Beach Street, Port Melbourne. Remember when using the lights that once the warning light is activated you have 5 minutes to either complete you game or to add more tokens.

****Do not let the lights go out & then add another token. You will lose your token. Once the lights go out they need to cool down before they will start again!****
